This full home renovation in the heart of one of Cairns’ most sought-after suburbs presented a clear opportunity to deliver a thoroughly modern four-bedroom home while remaining sensitive to the neighbourhood character that makes Edge Hill so distinctive.
Designed by Kelder Architects and soon to be brought to life by Maxa Constructions, this project exemplifies what’s possible when considered architectural design meets a boutique Cairns builder who understands how to deliver it.
Located within a Neighbourhood Character zone, every design decision was made with the streetscape in mind. The renovation respects the scale, materials and architectural language of the surrounding homes, ensuring the finished result will feel like it has always belonged here.
At the heart of the home sits a beautifully considered open-plan kitchen, complete with a butler’s pantry and bespoke cabinetry. Natural finishes run throughout, bringing warmth and craftsmanship to every room.
A dedicated wine room adds a layer of considered luxury, while two separate living spaces offer flexibility for modern family life — one for everyday relaxed living, one for when the whole family comes together.
At the rear, the focus shifts entirely to lifestyle.
